Frequently asked questions
Everything about digs, clues, memberships and payouts.
What is Geowin?+
Every hunt, a treasure chest is hidden somewhere on Earth. You spin the globe, zoom in and dig 1 × 1 km tiles. Whoever digs the tile with the chest wins the prize money.
How many digs do I get?+
Every signed-in player gets 10 free digs per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Members get 30 digs per day. You can also buy permanent dig packs — those digs never expire and are used after your daily ones.
Do I get any hints about where to dig?+
Not from the game itself. A dug tile is either empty or holds the chest — there are no hot or cold signals. The only guidance is the clues you buy.
How do clues work?+
Clues must be bought in order. Clue 1 reveals the continent ($2.99), clue 2 the country ($9.99), clue 3 which part of the country it is hidden in ($39.99). You can buy all three as a bundle for $44.99. Clues apply to the current hunt only.
What does the membership include?+
The weekly membership costs $2.49 per week (reduced from $2.99) and gives you 30 digs per day instead of 10, plus the first clue free for every new hunt. Prefer to pay once? The lifetime membership is $49.99 (reduced from $89.99), includes everything above and never renews.
If I dig a tile, can someone else dig it again?+
No. Dug tiles are dug up for everyone in the world — they show as dark tiles on the map. You are competing with every other player over the same surface.
How long does a hunt run?+
Until someone digs the exact tile with the chest. That can take a single day or several months. When the chest is found, the next hunt starts the following day.
How do I get paid if I win?+
When you find the chest, the prize is added to your winnings balance. From your account page you can request a withdrawal — payouts are reviewed and sent manually.
How does the referral program work?+
Share your personal referral link. You earn 10% of everything people you referred spend on clues, dig packs and memberships — for their lifetime — and you can cash out monthly.
